Monica Lauds FG for approving the Construction Of Ebonyi International Airport

Lady Monica Chidinma Ada Eze recently reappointed Technical Assistant (TA) on Media to Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi State, described the approval of the request by the administration of Governor Dave Nweze Umahi to construct an International Airport by the Federal Government as historical, monumental and proof that His Excellency, Engr. (Dr) Dave Nweze Umah (FNATE, FNSE) the executive Governor of Ebonyi State is innovative, visionary and result oriented.

Lady Monica Eze the President/Founder of David Umahi Nweze Akubaraoha Ebonyi Transformation Agenda (DUNAETA) a vibrant, virile grassroots NGO whose inputs and mobilisation towards the reelection of His Excellency Second Term bid is in the open and acknowledged widely both within and outside Nigeria is of the opinion that Ebonyi is truly blessed with an enigma and innovative leader as her Governor

Monica highlighted that the Minister  of  Aviation, Hadi Sirika  conveyed the approval in a letter to Governor David Umahi signed on his behalf by the Director of Safety and Technical Policy, Capt T. A. Alkali,  the minister said the approval followed the  report  of  the  technical team from the ministry   which inspected  the proposed site of  the airport, “I am directed to convey approval of the Minister of Aviation for the construction of a state-owned/financed international airport on the inspected site.”.

The airport is to be sited on  the boundary between Ezza South and Ezza North local government areas of the state.

Monica noted  that the  approval came at a time when the only International Airport in the South-East, Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, had been shut down by the Federal Government  for repairs.

The new airport is expected to help boast the economy of the State and  open up the zone as well as neighbouring Cross River and Benue states to International businesses.

Lady Monica Eze AKA ADA EBONYI who has been outside the State for the past three months on health ground pointed out that Governor Umahi have by this feat scored another first since he assumed office as the Governor of Ebonyi State
